USIT does not currently support these devices. We can install them for you if they do not conflict with network resources, however, we do not make recommendations on product and do not provide a technical liaison between you and the vendor it was purchased from.
Special considerations for PDA's
Because of the constantly changing technology, it is not possible to determine a single type or vendor. We can install them for you, however, we do not make recommendations on product and do not provide a technical liaison between you and the vendor it was purchased from.
The following guidelines apply to PDA's:
- Windows messaging must be installed
- The user obtains the PDA from their own source and it is not treated as part of the USIT inventory for tracking
- DO NOT SYNC TO OUTLOOK

USIT Current Supported Products
USIT currently provides as a Standard desktop: Novell Netware Client, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Thunderbird, Adobe Acrobat Reader, SnagIt, Compass.
These items can be installed if user purchases software/license and submits a request to USIT: PDA with IntelliSync, AutoCAD 2005, MS FrontPage, MS Visio, MS Project, Adobe Acrobat (Full), Adobe Illustrator, Adobe PhotoShop, or Adobe PageMaker.
These items can be added with USIT management approval: Crystal Reports or Microsoft Access.
Other software or hardware requests need to go through the intake management process. Please print out and complete the Intake Management Questionnaire (see link below) regarding your request for new software and forward it to USIT System Support to begin the review process.
