Please join me in welcoming four Associate District Directors and one Associate Director of Central Services who strengthen the FM leadership team.
Jim Peters – Health Sciences District
(Marshall Skule, Director)
Greg Berger – East Bank
(Sam Talbert, Director)
Ron Mapston - St. Paul District
(Dave Moore, Director)
Rob Tunell – North/West District
(Beth Louden, Director)
Bill O’Neill – Central Services
(Jim Dudley, Director)
Reading through their attached bios or viewing them on the web, you’ll see this group has a great deal of FM experience, knows the value of customer service and will be strong additions to the senior management team (see new org chart attached).
We were able to more quickly select these positions because we had our search committee interview for both the District Director and Associate Director (A.D.’s) positions at the same time. This overall pool was generated by a thorough process. We brought in two recruiting firms to aggressively seek out an experienced and diverse candidate pool and we hosted employee forums to gather your input on the qualities you expect from FM leadership. We also:
- Posted the positions on industry websites like International Facility Management Association (IFMA), APPA, and BOMA
- Advertised in the Star-Tribune and other publications
- Posted the positions on job search sites like Monster.com
Like the District Director positions, after the A.D.’s were interviewed by the search committee, they were interviewed by me and then completed a full day leadership assessment. My gratitude goes out to the search committee members for their dedication and hard work.
Next Steps
As you may recall, we had posted an additional two district A.D. positions. I am completing paperwork with an outside applicant who has accepted one of these positions and I will announce him as soon as possible. I have decided to leave the other position open at this time while we move onto the next stages of the process. We have taken the next steps in our cascading hiring process by posting the remaining district positions. Once those positions are filled we will begin the process of dividing FM employees into teams, district-wide pools or FM service.
Vice President O’Brien and I are anxious to introduce the new leadership team to you next week.
Mike
