2009 Community Fund Drive 
The U of M Community Fund Drive is underway. This is our opportunity to give back to our communities through charitable giving.
The U has teamed up with respected, well-run organizations that support social services, education, arts, and health, to make it easy for staff to give to the community. The best part is, you can choose where your money goes, selecting from a wide variety of worthy causes.
The staff and faculty of the University of Minnesota have a long, distinguished history of participation that we can all be proud of. During tough economic times, donations go down and needs go up. Now, more than ever, the agencies and charities supported by the federations need our help. More information is available about the charitable federations, and specific agencies within these federations, on the Community Fund Drive website.
This year organizers are aiming to raise $1.25 million, but the primary goal is to have a 100% participation rate. Everyone can give something. Every little bit counts – small gifts really do add up. The donated funds will go a long way toward addressing critical community needs.
You can contribute online: It's safe, accurate, and fast. Simply complete the online pledge form available on this site. When you turn in your pledge form, you will be eligible for weekly and grand prize drawings, and a special drawing especially for those who pledge on the web.

Giving to the Community Fund Drive is its own reward but winning prizes is nice, too! The prizes and experiences listed on the prize page of the Community Fund Drive website can be yours. The earlier you send in your pledge form or sign up online, the more chances you have to win in our weekly drawings. Grand prize winners will be drawn November 4, 2009.
