Many of you have either read or heard about the unfortunate event in the West Bank. A nine-year-old boy suffered a cut to his head after three suspects threw a garbage can into the bathroom stall he was using. The good news is the boy is recovering. Another encouraging aspect was the great way FM staff responded.
Great Performance – Joanne Fillmore, Shawn Thomsen, Matt Welter, Joe Goral, Karen Haakonson and Beth Louden
Upon seeing the suspects running away, Joanne risked her own health trying to chase them down, Shawn jumped off his auto scrubber to join the chase and Matt provided immediate first aid and then helped in the clean up efforts. Joe, Karen and Beth arrived shortly after the incident, lending a steadying presence as they calmly managed the situation, coordinating with police and medics.
Here is what Dean Davis-Blake had to say about our team’s actions. “I want to express my appreciation for the prompt, professional and compassionate response shown by employees from Facilities Management in dealing with the injured child in the Carlson School of Management building last Friday…a day like Friday can bring out the best in people, and the team from Facilities Management really stepped up in a difficult situation.”
Sometimes situations put us to the test and I know you’ll agree our team passed with flying colors. Thank you Ms. Fillmore, Mr. Thomsen, Mr. Welter and Mr. Goral, Ms. Haakonson and Ms. Louden for a job well done!
Mike
