Maintaining open communication is important for every organization, especially during times of change. Vice President O’Brien will be joining us for a series of meetings to talk about FM’s transformation. There will be four meetings designed to reach our entire staff. Supervisors will be selecting the meetings their crews will attend.

Great Performance – Crews and Supervisors working in
General Purpose Classrooms
Our partners in the Office of Classroom Management manage approximately 300 classrooms in 55 buildings throughout campus. They do a great job of advocating for student and staff needs. We have been working closely with them to try and better support classroom space. Here’s what their Director, Steve Fitzgerald had to say:
“As the first week of the semester winds down, I wanted to provide positive feedback on the performance of the FM Team in getting the semester underway. We know that the challenges of a semester startup are many, compounded this week by the sub-zero temperatures and snowy conditions. OCM inspection and performance monitoring assessments in the 300 central classrooms indicate that FM rose to the occasion and did an excellent job in meeting expectations and delivering startup week results. FM Transformation IS taking hold - Well Done!”
This represents a real team win. After reviewing our process, we switched PM’s so they were tracked by the room and given specific dates to be completed rather then large windows of time. While this reduced some flexibility it resulted in better accountability.
Thank you to the crews who completed the custodial and maintenance PM’s and the supervisors who helped make sure they were completed in a timely manner.
Good work.
