Congratulations are in order. For the second year in a row, our customer satisfaction rating has gone up. When asked to rank their general satisfaction with Facilities Management, 85% of our customers said that we met or exceeded their expectations. Thank you for all your hard work to help make this happen.
This is the third year in a row we have had Sightlines conduct our survey. They send surveys to 500 of our customers each fall. The names are drawn from the 500 folks with the most work orders in Compass. Besides our satisfaction rate improving, we also had more people respond to our survey than last year. Sightlines work with 200 colleges and universities, and together manage 430 million square feet of space. http://www.sightlines.com/about.aspx.
What makes our rating remarkable is that we earned it while we are undergoing our Transformation. Despite the uncertainty, folks are keeping their eye on the ball and taking care of our customers’ needs.
*University Services Star Performer Awards *
Congratulations also to the FM employees who earned University Services Star Performer Awards. These FMer’s were selected from the 27 individuals and 4 groups that were nominated.
*Senay Weldelassie, B&G Worker*
As we have mentioned before, Senay demonstrated his honor and set a great example for all of us by turning in $80 that he found at an ATM machine while working on the third shift. Senay’s positive attitude greatly impacts his teammates and is a model for all of FM to emulate. His pride in the University’s mission is contagious. Senay believes in making a difference and his work reflects this. His combination of energy, humor, politeness and intelligence help make him an outstanding steward and also provides a solid foundation for FM’s transformation efforts.
*Building Automation Technical Team - Energy Management *
-Dan Bellows
-Brad Jacobsen
-Mark Peterson
-Jeff Pickering
The building automation systems on campus span 38 years of technology with five generations of controls in over 200 buildings. There are very few systems in the world that are this complex. Our team took on the challenge to make the system more efficient. To do this, they physically reconfigured the network, designed a system that allows different technology to communicate with the other systems and developed a software solution to deliver the data from the reconfigured systems to BSAC.
Thank you Mr. Weldelassie, Mr. Bellows, Mr. Jacobsen, Mr. Peterson and Mr. Pickering.
Happy Thanksgiving!
As you take time to be with family and friends this Thanksgiving, I hope you travel safely and that you enjoy the time away.
