We had a great Beautiful U Day on Thursday, April 23. President Bruininks and Vice President O’Brien helped kick off our new energy conservation campaign “It all adds up.” They both took a pledge to conserve energy and were joined by more than 300 students, faculty and staff.
EECS was packed with booths explaining all the different things FM is doing to reduce energy usage through recommissioning. Similar to tuning up your car, building recommissioning balances a structure’s mechanical systems for peak performance.
We capped a great day by joining with our partners in OCM to honor our custodial staff with an awards ceremony. Please join me in saluting the 2009 award winners:
